Winooski /wɪˈnuːski/ is a city in Chittenden County, Vermont, in the United States. Located at the mouth of the Winooski River, as of the 2010 census the municipal population was 7,267. Home to immigrants from countries such as Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Rwanda, and Somalia, the city is the most diverse, as well as the most densely populated, municipality in northern New England, which comprises the states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
