It is combined with Achurch (where the population is included) to form the ecclesiastical parish of 'Thorpe Achurch'; in turn this is added to another combined parish, Lilford-cum-Wigsthorpe, to form the civil parish of Lilford-cum-Wigsthorpe and Thorpe Achurch.
